Fleet Admiral
Guild Leader. Is responsible for the smooth running of the guild. Must consider the guild development and ensure the health of the guild is maintained. Is responsible for preparing guild policies and ensuring that officers uphold them. Must ensure the guild and the welfare of its members are a high priority for its officers. Is responsible for serving the guild council and implementing its instructions within the rules of the guild and the remit of the post. Chairs the guild council and if a quorum is an even number and in the event of a tied vote can cast a second deciding vote Must use Voice Chat and be active at least 20 hours a week else he or she needs to step down.
Admiral
Second in Command. Must act in the interests of the guild. Has the same basic powers as Fleet Admiral, but can also summarily cast guild members out if the Fleet Admiral and the Admiral are in agreement. This decision can be taken without due process and is final. In the absence of the Fleet Admiral, Direct Leadership transfers to the Admiral, in all functions. Is expected to assist the Fleet Admiral in guild matters and ensure the smooth running of the Guild Council business. Becomes Acting Chairperson of the guild council in the absence of the Fleet Admiral. Absence is defined as not present 5 minutes after the scheduled start of the meeting. Will act as a second check on the finances to ensure that errors are kept to a minimum. Has full moderation permissions on the guild website. Can Create RAIDS. Can amend all features on the website. Can create recruitment drives and remove members from the site. Must use Voice Chat and be active at least 20 hours a week else he or she will be demoted to member
Council
Guild Council Members have the power to act on behalf of the guild. They can cast members out of the guild if there are instances of gross misconduct. ie they witness abuse of another member or they witness acts which could bring the reputation of the guild into disrepute or they witness an abuse of power. Council members represent the guild at all times and must demonstrate exemplary behaviour. Attendance at the guild council meetings is compulsory. They are expected to contribute to decisions that affect the members of the guild by voting during the guild council meetings. They are expected to take part in hearings that are convened in the event of a grievance being brought to the council and where there is alleged misconduct by members. They will usually take the lead in guild activities but may also appoint others to do this. They are expected to listen to the views of guild members and feed these views back to the full council. They are expected to maintain high levels of integrity and declare any conflicts of interest if they occur. Officer
Guild Officer appointed by the Guild Council. Have demonstrated leadership skills within the guild. May have been appointed because of a specific skill that they have or have shown eg recruitment/specialist in pvp/particular class/support of new members. Will certainly be able to challenge any unacceptable behaviour. Uphold the guild charter. And also promote the guild positively outside the guild circle. Will be actively recruiting members constantly. Will also organise activities for guild members from time to time. Will participate regularly in guild council meetings. Can Create Events and add members. Must use Voice Chat and be active at least 10 hours a week else he or she will be demoted to member
Member
Full Member of the Guild. Is active and has been playing for more than 30 days (30 days can be overridden by the council). Is able to freely recruit new members.
Apprentice
Almost a full member. Is active and has been playing for more than 15 days (15 days can be overridden by the council). Is able to freely recruit new members.
Holding cell
This member has been placed in the Holding Cell where they have no guild rights. They are normally placed here if a dispute is going on, the council can only remove someone from the Holding Cell when the situation has been resolved.
Pledge
Has just joined the guild. Is on indefinite probation.
